The third annual Howard County Transportation Open House has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 3rd from 4:30 - 7:30PM at Howard County Library System's Miller Branch in Ellicott City. 

Topics include those from the former Transportation Priorities Open House and Active Transportation Open Houses. Additional topics include transportation safety, transit and regional planning, and roadway maintenance and operations. The Open House also provides the public an opportunity to comment on the County's overall transportation priorities, approaches to solving common transportation challenges, and specific projects.

Represented agencies and stakeholders invited include: Howard County Department of Public Works, Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks, Howard County Police Department, Howard County Office of Community Sustainability, Regional Transportation Agency of Central Maryland (RTA), Baltimore Metropolitan Council, Columbia Association, Maryland Department of Transportation, Howard County Public School System Office of Student Transportation, Bike HoCo, Downtown Columbia Partnership and the Department of Public Works (DPW) Transportation & Special Projects Division.

Additionally, representatives from DPW’s Transportation & Special Projects Division will be on hand with information on the following projects:

  • Bike and Pedestrian Projects
    • Dobbin Road Pathway
    • Frederick Road Shared Use Path
    • Harpers Farm Road Bike Lanes
    • Old Annapolis Road Shared Use Path (Centennial Lane to Columbia Road)
    • Patuxent Branch Trail Improvements
    • South Entrance Trail
